Characteristics
 
In order not to frighten animals, the shape and user-friendliness of the scanner have been designed in partnership with veterinary surgeons. The petSCAN RT 100 V4 requires little space but has excellent performance.
 
It can read transponders of type FDX B (ISO standard), type FDX A (Destron, AVID, AEG), HDX (Texas Tiris) and EM4102.
 
- Scanning distance: from 5 to 8cm. It depends on the type of transponder and its orientation compared with the scanner.
 
To avoid any handwriting mistakes when transmitting the identification number read by petSCAN, two types of transmission are available.
 
- Transmission via USB
 
As an option : - Radio transmission using Bluetooth technology
 
This function is compatible with most PCs or PDAs having Bluetooth origin or via a USB Bluetooth key.

Display: 2 lines of 16 characters using any of six languages
 
Power supply: 9V alkaline or lithium battery of type PP3. Do not use saline batteries. When using Bluetooth it is necessary to power the reader with a rechageable battery NiMH.
 
Memory function: storage capacity of 1000 identifiers transmissible to a PC or PDA via the RS 232 link or Bluetooth.
